Vintage/RARE is widely regarded as one of the best soul and funk bands in the Monterey Bay California area. Though perhaps best known for their horn section, the band's strength actually lay in their accomplished rhythm section and vocalists. The eight-group piece took the influences of their R&B heroes James Brown and Tower of Power, and developed their own sound which entertained audiences from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
